Borrower Completion Report and Beneficiary Impact Study-Lagos Metropolitan
Development and Governance Project Lagos Metropolitan Development and Governance Project (LMDGP) is a World Bank assisted project of the Lagos State Government. The primary project objective of the LMDGP was to increase sustainable access to basic urban services through investment in critical infrastructure. The project provided infrastructural development in nine of the
biggest slums in Lagos and also addressed issues of flooding faced by the State, water and sanitation, education, primary health care, roads and drainage, markets, community recreation, and citizen’s mediation centres. In addition, the project was intended to improve Governance in the State.
In accordance with World Bank practice, VIPCG was contracted by the Lagos state Government Project Office to undertake a project completion review and develop a report for submission to the World Bank. The report detailed the achievement of project outcomes, project impact, project execution activities, lessons learned, financial management reports, and the issues and challenges of project implementation and how they were addressed. In addition, we were contracted to carry out a beneficiary impact study and develop a report for submission to the World Bank.
